That's me.
I grew up in Norwich, Vermont and went to high school across the Connecticut River in Hanover, New Hampshire.
My junior year, I was the New England high school champion in the discus. My senior year, I tore my ACL playing football. 8 months after surgery, I defended my New England title, set a state record that stood for 12 years, and learned about the power of determination and hard work in the face of adversity.
I attended the University of Wisconsin where I earned a BS in both Psychology and Journalism.
I threw the discus and hammer for the Badgers and was a track & field team captain my senior year. I held a couple of school records and won a couple of Big Ten team championships.
I began my advertising career as a copywriter at Cramer Krasselt. Then I rose to the role of Chief Creative Officer of Engauge, a 285-person agency with offices in Atlanta, Columbus, Pittsburgh and Orlando.
Following the sale of Engauge to Publicis-owned Moxie, I became the EVP Executive Creative Director of Moxie, a 625-person agency, the largest in Atlanta, with offices in NYC and LA.
In 2016, I launched the advertising and idea agency called The Weaponry. Today we have 25 clients from Boston to Los Angeles. We've also worked with clients in Canada, England, France and India. The Weaponry has offices in both Milwaukee and Columbus.
I frequently speak to businesses, organizations, and schools.
I get pretty excited about life.
I share everything I have learned along the way on my blog which you can find at AdamAlbrecht.blog.
I published my first book called 'What Does Your Fortune Cookie Say?' in December of 2021. It's a collection of 80 of the best life lessons I've learned on how to be happier, more successful and more fulfilled. You can find the book on Amazon.com or learn more about the book at fortunecookiebook.com.
I also coach high school track and field and have sent an athlete on to D1 programs each of the past 3 years.
